The last time we were at Wimberley Valley, Judy sampled and bought a bottle of their Mulled Christmas wine. It's a red wine that has been flavored with spices (like cinnamon, cloves, and star anise), and citrus fruits like orange.
Anyway, it's supposed to be served warm. They suggested for convenience, warm it in a crock pot.
It was very good... (I sampled it too).
I guess it's similar to a sangria, but a little more spicey and less fruity, and of course warm.
